TAX-AIDE AVAILABLE AT LIBRARY

Starting the first week in February the library will again host AARP Tax Help.
Tax experts will be available from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Thursdays during February and March. The service is aimed at seniors, young families and those with low to middle incomes.
Appointment are necessary. Call the library (568-6181) for an appointment.

OUR MEETING/COMMUNITY ROOM

Now that we have moved in to our new facility we have a meeting room. This room will be available for our library programs as well as other community events.

A NEW FACILITY

We do indeed have a new facility.

During the summer of 2008. the Library Board's Building/Expansion Committee checked out all possibilities for library expansion. We looked at available buildings, available building lots and possibilities for expansion within City Hall. Our first choice of buildings was Little Pine Plaza - but, it was not within our budget. In June of 2009. we were given the opportunity to purchase Little Pine Plaza for less than half the sale price a year earlier. With some quick fund raising and borrowing,we were able to put together a financing package that allowed us to buy the building.

During the week of September 7 through September 13 we moved the library in to the new facility. We opened on Monday September 14th.

PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNITY LIBRARY POLICIES

1. There is a one-time charge for library cards:
Individual = $4.00
Family = $5.00
Additional family cards = $1.00
Copies per page = $.25

2. Material check-out limit = 5 materials for first-time users.
No limit for regular users.

3. Overdue materials:
- As a courtesy to others, please return all materials promptly.

- If a patron has overdue materials, further check-out privlages may be suspended

- While the library does not have fines, payment for lost materials is expected in a timely fashion.

4. Please turn off cell phones or remove yourself from the
library should you receive a call.
